The Spoonbill is a bird in the Spoonbill and Ibis family. The spoonbill is very easy to recognise by its long beak shaped like a spoon with which it wiggles its spoon through the water and sand in shallow water in search of small fish, amphibians and insects. They breed mainly in marshy areas and in winter they often head towards Africa to hibernate.
