I had gone to Rome for a few days to visit friends and of course my camera always goes with me. In advance, I had also picked out some locations to photograph and of course the staircase in the Vatican museum could not be missed.
For me, the Rolls Roys among spiral staircases, the one at the Vatican Museum in Rome, photographed here without an audience which, by the way, is a challenge as it is a busy museum. Anyway, a steady hand, the right position and a lot of patience are the basis of this work. After a good number of shots where people walk in different places each time, I was done.
As always, I edit my photos taken on the road at home at my desk. There I have access to a fast computer, a large screen, a Wacom drawing tablet and several software packages, to make the photo suitable for your wall. For this photo, I first had to make sure to remove all the people in the image by superimposing all the shots I had taken and then removing them one by one in Photoshop. For this version, I opted for a monochrome version. The colour version can be found here.
