I took this photo in the subway underground in Taipei, Taiwan. I knew this line and knew that this was an unmanned train. Ideal because I could set up my camera and tripod so that I could stand at the very front of the train against the window. In this way I could work with a slightly slower shutter speed without the camera moving so that the picture would be in focus. The speed of the subway and the slower shutter speed create a nice flowing lines, especially since we are going around a corner. Initially I made this photo in color but after a few years on the shelf, I decided to convert it to black / white to make the picture even more powerful.
