About the artwork

This macro photograph shows a detailed close-up view of a dried flower, probably from a wild carrot (Daucus carota). The flower structure is intricate and consists of numerous small, star-shaped seed pods with a dark purple or brown centre and fine, hairy tentacles. The whole is compact and appears to have coiled inwards, creating a spherical effect.

The depth of field is extremely shallow, so the main subject in the foreground is in sharp focus, while the background is completely out of focus (bokeh). This completely focuses attention on the complex texture and details of the seed head. Another, similar seed head is vaguely visible in the blurred background, top right, adding a sense of depth.

The background is a soft, hazy mix of dark green and brown tones, creating a natural and calm atmosphere. The light is soft and diffuse, highlighting the plant's delicate textures and rich, muted colours. The overall impression is calm and focuses on the beauty of natural impermanence.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
