About the artwork

This photograph is an artistic and symbolic image, taken in black and white. It shows a man seen from the side, with his back turned to the viewer and his face facing a mirror. The man is bared from head to waist and has tattoos on his arm, shoulder and back. He has a short-shaven scalp and a beard.

The most striking and surreal element of the picture is in the mirror. Instead of showing the reflection of the man himself, the mirror shows the head of a donkey attached to a human body, the man's reflection. This creates a powerful and figurative image that can be interpreted as a comment on self-perception, identity, or the expression "donkey" (which in English means "jackass" and stands for a stupid or foolish person). The donkey also looks directly into the mirror. The lighting is dramatic, with strong contrasts between light and shadow, enhancing the serious and contemplative mood of the picture.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
