These are soft pink roses, some fully open, some still in bud sit awaiting the sunshine after a rain shower. Water drops left by a rain shower still remain. The smell of these roses fills the senses and enhances the mood, such a beautiful sight and beautiful scent. Roses are so graceful don't you think?
Roses are one of the oldest flowers in the world, archaeologists have dated rose fossils back to 35 million years ago. They are also the national flower of the United States of America, declared by President Reagan in 1986.
Of course roses are edible, many people will be familiar with rose water. I already mentioned their gorgeous smell so it is not a surprise that they are used in perfumes.
Based on my original photograph, this image shows the roses in a montage coupled with a soft water color effect creating this piece I have called Soft Rose Fragments.
