Tall sailboats were setting off on an early autumn morning when the atmosphere was very hazy due to the amount of sand in the atmosphere. A dune is acting as a silhouette on the left side of the frame with the sun reflecting on the water just behind it. The glittering golden sand made this into a very atmospheric coastal scene, which nonetheless was made well after sunrise. The elliptical shapes on the beach are like mirror images, one larger than the other. I hardly ever photograph scene with reference to humans, but this was too good an opportunity to miss
