Small temple, shrine on Bali Indonesia by Fotos by Jan Wehnert

A picturesque hotel on the idyllic island of Bali, Indonesia, reveals an enchanting gem of spirituality. A small temple or shrine, lovingly designed and of exotic beauty, shines in the heart of the property and gives guests an insight into the deep-rooted Hindu faith that is so present on this island.

The temple, ornately decorated with rich ornaments and vibrant colours, serves as a place for offerings. Fresh flowers, fragrant incense sticks and elaborate offerings of fruit and rice adorn the altar, which is filled with an atmosphere of reverence and respect.

A sensuality of impressions awaits visitors in front of this sacred place: The sound of soft prayers and ritual chants, the scent of incense and fresh flowers, and the soothing aura of the temple convey a sense of peace and inner tranquillity.

The temple not only serves as a place of contemplation for the hotel guests, but also for the local Balinese who come here daily to offer their prayers and sacrifices. It is a place where spiritual connection and cultural richness merge, and it reminds us of the importance of respecting and appreciating the values and traditions of other cultures.
