Tips for use

The photo shows the Cappella degli Alpini. It is located directly at the foot of the south face of the 3 Peaks massif. It can be reached after a short hike from the Auronzo hut on the eastern section of the circular hiking trail around the Three Peaks. The small chapel was built in memory of the mountain soldiers of the First World War.

The 3 Peaks Dolomites region is located in the east of South Tyrol and is the high valley of the Dolomites - a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The Three Peaks (Tre Cime di Lavaredo in Italian) are among the most famous peaks in the Alps. They are the symbol of the Dolomites and Alta Pusteria.
The striking mountain range is located in the Sesto Dolomites on the border between the Italian provinces of Belluno in the south and South Tyrol in the north. The highest peak in the group is the 2999 metre-high Große Zinne. The Three Peaks region is home to spectacular hiking trails and impressive landscapes.
