Skyscrapers in Toronto’s Financial District, a moody atmosphere in the mist by Photo Wall Decoration

I took this photograph on an early, misty morning in Toronto’s Financial District, the beating heart of the city where the skyscrapers rise sky-high and stand close together. By looking straight up through my wide-angle lens, the top floors of the buildings gradually fade into the mist, whilst here and there a single lit window still glows warmly against the cool, grey morning air. That contrast between the artificial, warm light inside the buildings and the chilly mist outside gives this photograph a particularly moody quality.

For me, weather conditions like these are exactly why I get up early: whilst most people see a misty morning as gloomy, it actually offers the perfect atmosphere for capturing the immense scale and raw architecture of this part of Toronto. Looking straight up, amongst all that glass and steel, lets you experience the city in a completely different way.

This photograph of the skyscrapers in Toronto’s Financial District is available as wall art in various sizes and materials, including canvas, aluminium and acrylic. An atmospheric eye-catcher for the living room, the office or any space where you appreciate moody, atmospheric architectural photography.
