About the artwork

The Skeidara sandur, the sand and gravel plain on the south coast of Iceland. With its 1,300 km², Skeidararsandur is one of the largest sandy plains of alluvial origin. Stones and pebbles were carried away by meltwater and floods and ground into smaller pieces and eventually sand ... it is a very arid and desolate area where almost nothing grows and that for many kilometers. The devastating power of the melt water that flows here in huge masses can be seen from the remains of a bridge along the ring road number 1. In the distance you can see the mountains that indicate the old coastline of Iceland.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
