About "Skaters at the Kinderdijk mills"

About the artwork

I visited Kinderdijk during a harsh winter and saw an image that immediately took me back to nostalgic winter days: skaters doing their laps on the frozen water, with the iconic windmill in the background. The clear blue sky and glistening snow completed the scene. The energy and joy of the skaters, combined with the historic beauty of the mill, created a perfect harmony between man and nature. I grabbed my camera and captured this enchanting moment, with the mill providing the serene backdrop to the dynamic movement on the ice.

I would love to have this photo hanging on my wall because it reminds me of the magic of winter days in the Netherlands. Every time I look at this picture, I feel the joy and pleasure of skating, and the quiet power of the mill that has endured for centuries. It is more than just a pretty picture; it is a reminder of tradition, joy and the unique charm of Dutch winters. This picture brings a piece of that nostalgic winter atmosphere into my home and inspires me daily to appreciate the small, beautiful moments.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
