About the artwork
"Simple calm: Warm brown tones of a small piece of nature" is a macro photo of a piece of a fluffy bulb of a Tragopogon (also called Morgenster in the Netherlands). This plant is very similar to a dandelion; after flowering, the flower turns into a fluff ball containing the seeds, which are attached to the fluff. This allows the seeds to spread with the help of the wind. Very small droplets hang from the cobweb-like fluff that decorate the fluff. A very calm and simple image, consisting mainly of all kinds of brown tones (such as taupe, beige)
I set the camera so that the depth of field is shallow. This puts the focus on the centre fluff and the further back you look (and forward) the image gradually fades. This creates a sense of depth in the work.
Associations with this work: rural, simplicity, tranquillity, natural, beige, taupe.
This work could hang beautifully as wall decoration, on aluminium or HD metal for example, in the bedroom, kitchen, hallway or simply above the sofa! Also beautiful in business locations such as on the wall in a meeting room, office waiting room or practice room!
