Paleis Huis ten Bosch in The Hague is the residential palace of King Willem-Alexander and his family. It was built in the mid-seventeenth century as a summer residence commissioned by Prince Frederik Hendrik of Orange and his wife Amalia van Solms and converted and extended into a palace by Prince Willem IV of Orange-Nassau in the first half of the eighteenth century.
The palace, which is the official residence of the King of the Netherlands, is also used as such for some of its representative functions. Huis ten Bosch Palace is located in the Hague Forest and is owned by the State of the Netherlands.
