This Simca 8 Sport (1948-1952) was modelled on a historical photo (and can therefore be printed in any size) and during my research I found out, among other things, that it was also exhibited in 1953 in the Modern Art of Museum in New York as one of the most beautiful sports coupes and looks almost the same as the Ferrari 166 INTER or Cisitalia 202 GT which was also exhibited in the MoMa.
The Bordeaux Grand Prix was an international Formula 1 race, 1952 was the year they introduced the category "tourist car" (voitures de tourisme) there and there were normal and probably some optimised Porsche 356, Panhard, Peugeot etc. racing, among them also a Simca 8 Sport. In the 1950 Rally Monte Carlo, the Coupes (drivers Trintignant and Jean Behra) finished fourth and fifth.
