About the artwork

Watercolour painting of a quiet side street in the Italian city of Siena. The painting is reproduced from my own photo image I took in this beautiful city.

What makes the painting special is that the composition was made from the Frog Fork perspective. Also, the image has a strong depth-of-field effect.
First, this makes you feel as if the architecture is coming at you in a powerful way. You feel like a little mouse running down the alley.
And secondly, because the painting is realistically painted in watercolour on watercolour paper combined with acrylic paint.
The sunlight from above, the dark gate in the distance, the white window shutters, the dark underside of the walkway and the characteristic street lamps give this medieval street scene a mystical atmosphere.

In short, a beautiful eye-catcher for residential and business interiors for lovers of beautiful medieval Italian cities.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
