About "Sicilian summer beach in San Vito lo Capo"

About the artwork

This refreshing, maritime nature picture was taken during my summer and photography trip to the north-west of the island of Sicily. I discovered a wonderfully clear bay with a wide sandy beach in the former fishing village and now bathing paradise of San Vito Lo Capo.
The unique, clean bay is located in the municipality of Trapani.

This summery, paradisiacal beach landscape is located directly in the bay of San Vito Lo Capo on the island of Sicily. The photo was taken in the evening hours on 10 July 2019 with the NIKON D90 (lens: NIKKOR 18.0-70.0 mm f/3.5-4.5) during my photo and holiday trip.

San Vito Lo Capo is a municipality in the Free Consortium of Municipalities of Trapani in the region of Sicily in Italy with 4820 inhabitants.
The inhabitants live in an area of 59 km². The municipality is located 36 km north-east of Trapani on Capo San Vito, the western tip of the Gulf of Castellammare.
The inhabitants live from tourism, fishing and the processing of marble.
Until the 17th century, the town was the site of a tonnara (tuna fishing ground).
The districts (fractions) are Macari and Castelluzzo.
