The idea for this picture arose from the desire to visualise the tension between purity and expressiveness. This rose variety combines both in a natural way - it appears restrained and at the same time strong in character. The moment the picture was taken was characterised by diffuse daylight, which modelled the structure of the petals in a particularly soft way.
The atmosphere I want to create with this work is calm, but not passive - rather contemplative. It is about pausing, about consciously perceiving details that are often overlooked in everyday life.
In interior design, this picture acts as a quiet accentuator. It fits particularly well in rooms with clear lines or natural materials, where it serves as a calm but expressive eye-catcher - a floral statement with depth.
