This picture was featured as a post processing case in Woodscapes and the eBook that belongs to it. It was one of those serendipitous moments that lift ordinary scenes to the extraordinary, that make it more than it would normally be. Autumn had set in and I was taking a walk over the moors of the Veluwe, the humidity levels were high, yet the amount of fog had been disappointing (if you were to have expectations of glorious fog) and I was musing about this tree, of which the shape appealed to me very much. I knew this could be something, if only I could separate it from the very busy background and low and behold, the sun appeared and made magic in combination with the high humidity levels and I quickly changed lenses to set up for this picture seeing that the autumn leaves in the foreground which I considered to be distracting were now glistening in the sun and were adding to the frame. It is miraculous how things can change within seconds.
