About ‘Shoes on vacation’ by Svantje Hübner

Shoes on vacation is a photograph taken in Hamburg on the Elbe beach. The old, worn style of the shoes, fits the industrial look of the port city.

The many, small cracks, dents and stains on the pair of shoes, stand for what I would like to express in many of my works. For the imperfect and for the many, drawn by life, features. Everyone who looks at these should be able to sit back and get a sense of how life can be and how it really is. Imperfect and beautiful.

The shoes were on vacation enjoying the warm, setting sun rays. Therefore, I also used warm colors in the processing of the image. You should be able to let yourself fall in them and not feel repelled. They relax and create a calm atmosphere.
In addition, I have oriented the image upside down. The shoes are hanging overhead, which automatically makes the shot look more interesting.

This photographic image should convey serenity, freedom, relaxation and warmth, as I could perceive at that moment of the shot.

This shot is something for every shoe enthusiast. For the people who also like to be enveloped by warm colors on a cold day. Who want to sit back and enjoy the moment.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
