Grenada is located about 200 kilometres northeast of the coast of Venezuela and south of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. The state consists of several islands in the Grenadines archipelago, a sub-archipelago of the Lesser Antilles, of which the island of Grenada itself is the largest. Most of the population of about 110,000 lives in the capital, St. George's. The port of Grenada is one of the most beautiful in the Caribbean. Grenada's capital, with its harbour, is one of the most beautiful in the Caribbean. The architecture of the city and the port of Carenage is marked by the colonial heritage of the French and British. Grenada is also known as the Spice Island and supplies a third of the world's demand for nutmeg. You are therefore guaranteed interesting flora and fauna, as practically everything grows here - from cloves and laurels to vanilla and cinnamon, saffron and cocoa.
