Shell Beach in Shark Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, fascinates visitors with a unique natural spectacle. This is a beach that is not made up of fine sand, but of billions of tiny, snow-white cockles. This unique phenomenon makes Shell Beach a breathtaking jewel on the Australian coast.

The small, oval shells, also known as cockles, cover the beach in a continuous, shimmering layer that reflects the sunlight in dazzling shades. The shells are so densely packed that it seems as if you could walk on a soft carpet of shells. The scenery creates an enchanting feeling of unspoilt beauty.

The formation of this unique beach is the result of thousands of years of cockles being deposited in the shallow waters of Shark Bay. The salty waters of the bay create optimal conditions for the growth and reproduction of these shells, making Shell Beach a spectacular natural wonder.

For me, Shell Beach is the most amazing testimony to the diversity and beauty of nature to be discovered on the coasts of Australia.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
