Sheep in the polder
The sheep (Ovis orientalis aries) is an even-toed mammal, domesticated by humans from the mouflon (Ovis orientalis) to provide wool, among other things. The scientific name of this taxon was published as Ovis aries in 1758 by Carl Linnaeus. The sheep is a ruminant.
