With her back straight and feet firmly on the ground, she carries the day - full of both gentleness and strength.
She looks towards the unknown, not in fear, but in confidence. In a world that sometimes feels dark, she chooses to think in colour.
This work reflects the inner journey of every woman who, despite chaos or doubt, keeps going. Not knowing where the finish line lies, but sure of her strength along the way.
A painting that radiates silence, and at the same time invisible movement: a reminder that even stasis can be a choice full of power.
This painting was created at a time when I myself was looking for solidity - for a way to find peace and strength again in the hectic everyday life as a mother, working woman and creative person.
The woman on the canvas came to life intuitively. Her posture, her back, her grounding... for me she symbolises the moment when you don't have to know where you are going, but do decide to stay upright and continue.
Although she looks away from the light and stares at the dark, she carries colour. This is what I felt while painting: despite doubt, fatigue or worry, I keep choosing hope, beauty and expression.
My inspiration did not come from a trip to a faraway land, but from the inner journey I take every day - which so many women recognise. Maybe you see yourself in her, too?
