About the artwork

Located on the island of São Miguel in the Azores, Portugal, Sete Cidades is one of Europe's most breathtaking natural wonders. This volcanic area, known for its two-coloured crater lakes - Lagoa Azul and Lagoa Verde - offers an unreal landscape that becomes even more impressive during sunset.

As the sun slowly disappears behind the mountains, the sky envelops itself in a palette of warm hues such as orange, pink and purple. The soft light streaks across the lakes, highlighting their unique colours: one lake reflects a deep emerald hue, while another has a calm, azure glow. The surrounding volcanic hills and dense vegetation are shrouded in shadows, giving the landscape a mystical atmosphere.

From the viewpoint, the panoramic view offers an unforgettable experience. The silence of the evening, the calm waters of the lakes, and the smell of the fresh ocean breeze add to the serenity of the place. Birds soar through the air, and the shadows of the mountains lengthen as the sun sinks further.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
