This colourful geometric artwork is based on a photo of leaves of a sweet gum tree on a lawn. In autumn, the five-pointed leaves of that tree turn all kinds of colourful hues: yellow, orange, red and even purple. Together with the green of the grass, it creates an almost psychedelic spectacle.
I transparently superimposed three digital copies of the photo and then rotated one 120 degrees and another 240 degrees. That produced this image: somewhat abstract but the colours and shapes of the grass and leaves are still recognisable.
And where did that name come from, Mr artist? Well, I honestly have something against artworks "untitled"; it's a bit of a weakness. But to give one out of all the thousand works in my webshop that anti-title, I think that's funny. And it sounds good in the Italian translation.
My work can be found in the border regions of photography, painting and computer visuals. With my company 3Develop I do work in commission but I use the same techniques, skills and software to make free work.
