El Hierro draws itself as a volcanic island with few beaches and many rocks. This special landscape can be captured beautifully in images.
The village in the photo, Pozo de las Calcosas, is a semi-abandoned fishing village. The owners use their house here as a summer residence.
I made this image during a trip across several Spanish islands. El Hierro surprised me; there are few tourists, max. 3000 per year. Because of this, the island has still retained its authenticity.
