About ‘Seagulls in the fog.’ by Josine Claasen
Ice cold wind, thick fog. With a thick coat on, gloves off for a moment to take the photo, I stood there shivering. These sturdy, young black-headed gulls stood so beautifully, lined up headfirst in the wind on the fence along the jetty on the Lek at Schoonhoven. The cold, even visible in the photo, didn't seem to bother them.
