About "Sea turtle underwater in hidden cave (AI) (scuba diving, diving trip, Egypt, Sharm el Sheikh)"

About the artwork

This watercolour painting shows a breathtaking underwater world in a hidden cave. Soft sunbeams fall down through the opening of the cave, where a sea turtle glides gracefully through the clear water. Sea plants grow along the bottom and small fish swim among the light beams, subtle details that add depth and life to the painting.

The use of colour consists of deep blue and turquoise tones, which contrast beautifully with the green and yellowish accents of the plants and the turtle's shell. It gives the work a refreshingly cool feel, but the warm rays of light also bring a certain softness and calmness to it. The transparency of the watercolour technique enhances this dreamy and natural character.

This painting exudes calmness and wonder, as if you yourself were momentarily floating underwater in a silent cave. It can evoke memories of special snorkelling or diving moments, of trips to tropical destinations or simply of a deep love of nature.

The work is part of a series of nine paintings on the theme of scuba diving and underwater world. The series includes scenes with a plane and shipwreck, a whale shark, a manta ray and the experience of swimming in caves and open water.

My own snorkelling adventures in Australia (Great Barrier Reef), Egypt and Greece inspired me to use AI to create this work.
