This shot was taken on the south island in New Zealand. Also called the Moeraki Boulders. They are located between the town of Moeraki and Hampden, which can be found near the famous town of Dunedin.
"The boulders, located in the "Moeraki Boulders Scenic Reserve", have long been the subject of legends: the boulders are slowly released by erosion of the dunes and further into the sea. In the past, this was thought to be the work of the gods, but research has shown that these boulders formed on the sea floor some 60 million years ago, when calcium salts gradually accumulated around a hard core."
This plate was taken in the early morning and depicts a true calmness of the place. The black and white colors make it an oasis of calm that fits into any interior.
