Scottish Highlanders
The Scottish Highland Cow (Scottish Gaelic: Bò Ghàidhealach; Scottish: Heilan coo), also known as Highland Cow, is a mostly red-brown breed of cattle native to Scotland. They have long hair and long horns.
The Scottish Highlander is the original cattle of the western highlands of Scotland and the Hebrides. There was no incrossing with other cattle breeds. In 1885 the first herdbook was established.
