The basis of this artwork is a charcoal drawing on paper. I drew the Scottish highlander head in black and white on watercolour paper. This drawing has been digitised. Using photoshop, I digitally painted in the charcoal drawing. For this, I used natural tones that fit well in a rural interior. Wood tones, light brown, warm grey, taupe and various clay tones are reflected in the work.
You can see a head of a Scottish highlander on this artwork. The horns of this sturdy cow are pointed downwards. The highlander has a robust head. The layering reveals interesting details, even when printed in large format.
This artwork has a landscape format, which of course fits very nicely above the couch in the living room.
From a blank sheet to an imaginative sketch or drawing — that’s what I enjoy most about creating my artwork.
I also find it inspiring to think that my wall decorations can bring joy to others.
