Orvelte is a museum village in the municipality of Midden-Drenthe and consists largely of characteristic Saxon farmhouses, located on a small village square. This specific farm type is characterised by its triangular shape and has wood, thatch and brick as the main building materials. This farmhouse houses the local tourist office.
