About ‘Sassy’ by Atelier Renée

In this powerful painting, we see a confident woman looking straight into the lens, her hands firmly at her sides. She exudes strength, pride and determination. Her full forms are highlighted by a close-fitting, bright red top and blue-green trousers - a colour combination that not only contrasts with the richly decorated background, but also seems a nod to the vintage style of the 1940s or 1950s. The baroque background with warm, floral ornaments enhances the sense of timelessness and character.

What stands out are the details: the subtle brush strokes in her skin, the contrast between the soft light and the robust pose, and the fact that she is not smiling - not out of coldness, but as a conscious choice to put strength over charm.

This work grew out of a fascination with femininity in all its forms. The inspiration comes from vintage photography, classic painting as well as contemporary body positivity movements. The idea was to depict a woman as she really is - without filter, without shame, but full of pride.

The atmosphere is outspoken and powerful. This work gives a warm feeling, but also a sense of confrontation. The woman looks at you with a gaze that says, "Here I am." She forces you as a viewer to see her fully. It raises questions about beauty ideals, about self-image, about heritage. At the same time, it is also an ode to style and flair - a celebration of femininity in all its glory.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
