About the artwork

Sanur, Bali
The well-known fishing town of Sanur is found on the eastern shoreline of Bali. Safeguarded by a reef, the grand mountains of main Bali make up an exceptional scenery east throughout the bay. Sanur is set amongst rich tropical gardens. Its quality hotels and resorts provide an outstanding option for those who prefer a slower-paced vacation. The yellow sand beach is secure and many water sports - snorkeling, swimming diving, outrigger cruising and windsurfing - are readily available. Shop at Sanur's dynamic beach market for some deals. Throughout the night the options are similarly as different, with a broad choice of dining establishments. The night life here is focus on more for the Jazz audience, particularly at the Hyatt hotel. A lot of resorts and hotels likewise include conventional dance and music performances.

The Sanur that comes from the Balinese is difficult to discover. It is hidden in the groves along the beach, or in peaceful areas off the beach. Nevertheless, along the beach are numerous little temples:

Pura Merta Sari is at the southern side of Sanur beach. This temple is shaded by a big tree and the regional's feel this location is charged with supernatural force.
Pura Segara is on Jalan Segara Ayu in between the entryway to the Segara Town Beach Hotel and the Sanur Beach market. "Segara" suggests sea and "pura" indicates temple. The entrance of the temple is flanked by 2 painted daemons.
