On a very cold day with wind chill -15, we visited the Kwade Hoek beach. It was really icy cold and even on the beach there were ice patches and sea foam snowballs. And among them a group of Sanderlings. This one was sitting pretty close and allowed itself to be portrayed beautifully. A special image with the sun and the ice formations in the sand. A winter visitor in a real wintery Netherlands.
