Hen Harrier. A true winter visitor in the Dutch polders. So too in the polders around Oudenbosch in the municipality of Halderberge. With the Basilica in the background with a setting sun, I was delighted when this Hen Harrier cooperated beautifully to realise the picture I saw in my head in real life. A special bike ride that I will remember for a long time. What a wealth it is to be able to enjoy the beauty in little things close to home too. Like photographing a special bird of prey and winter visitor with your hometown and the place where you grew up in the background.
