About the artwork

San Gimignano is a medieval walled town in the province of Siena in the Italian region of Tuscany. The town attracts many tourists, mainly because of its special medieval architecture.

San Gimignano is known for its fourteen towers that dominate the silhouette of the city. These were built between the 12th and 14th century by wealthy families. The towers served as houses and fortifications, but above all as prestige objects.

In 1990, the historic centre of San Gimignano was included in UNESCO's list of World Heritage Sites. San Gimignano is one of the best preserved medieval towns in Tuscany and is therefore one of the busiest.

Alexander Kanoldt (Karlsruhe, Baden-Württemberg, Germany 29 September 1881 - Berlin, 24 January 1939) was a German painter and graphic artist. He is considered part of the Neue Sachlichkeit movement. Alexander's Kanoldts father Edmond was a painter who worked in the style of the Nazarenes. He settled in 1908 in Munich, Bavaria.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
