Redeemer of the World (Latin Salvator Mundi) is an oil panel painted around 1500 by Leonardo da Vinci or someone from his studio or surroundings. It is painted on a walnut panel measuring 45.4 by 65.6 cm. At an auction in 2017, the work went under the hammer at a price that made it the most expensive painting ever made.
