It is one of 23 National Parks in the Netherlands: the Sallandse Heuvelrug. At 5,200 hectares, it is one of the largest parks in the Netherlands. Farmland with cows, fields and fields, water catchment and country estates. Forests, heathland and sand drifts. It is one of the places to go mountain walking in the Netherlands. Think Holterberg, Sprengenberg, Noetselerberg, Hellendoornse Berg and Eelerberg.
On a wintry morning, with quite a bit of snow, I took a walk on the Ligtenberg. Through a fairytale world, with crunching snow under my shoes, I explore this corner of the Sallandse Heuvelrug. For hours I wander through the white world. I am far from wanting to go home. One forest path after another. Slowly, my toes get cold and the tip of my nose turns blue.
The photos I took here are the ultimate Winter Wonderland
