A closeup of a rusty ship's bow, which was found in the port of Svendborg, Denmark.
In this image, you can see several layers of paint in shades of brown, yellow and blue, complemented by white numbers. Which indicate the ship's draft. The welds are also clearly visible, running horizontally and vertically through the sculpture. The rust spots give this sculpture character and are nicely spread throughout the sculpture.
This detail appealed to me, because of the various colours in it and the row of numbers, which gives the sculpture a resting point.
