About the artwork

A rusty tin can stands half-buried among wild vegetation, as if it had been swallowed up and absorbed by nature. The orange-brown patina of the rust shines in contrast to the lush green leaves that entwine around the can and try to integrate it into the living web of nature. Decayed plant remains and dry leaves at the bottom show the traces of time and give an idea of how long the can has been in this state.

The scene is a small but powerful symbol of the cycle of decay and rebirth: a man-made object that has long since lost its original purpose is gradually being enclosed and reclaimed by nature. The rusty surface of the can is reminiscent of transience, while the green plants in the background embody a quiet permanence. The combination of rust and fresh green creates a fascinating image that captures the symbiosis of decay and renewal.
