Rozerood Abstract Painting: Rivers of Gentle Silence by Surreal Media

Two rivers of colour flow side by side here: on the left, a warm, rosy undulation that folds its way downwards in layer upon layer; on the right, a cool river of mint green and off-white, with edges that look like foaming wave crests. Between the two streams winds a narrow, pale gold ribbon, so delicate that it almost seems to vanish the moment you look at it. The inspiration came from the idea of a delicate texture: I wanted to create something that looks fragile and dreamlike, with edges that seem just a little too soft to be real. Stylists often recommend using such delicate layers of paint in spaces where you want to let go of the hustle and bustle for a moment, and that feeling is captured in every fold of this piece.

The atmosphere is cool and spacious, despite the warm pink tones on the left: the overall effect remains calm, with plenty of open space between the undulating layers. Less is more, and this is reflected in the simplicity of the composition. It evokes tranquillity, a kind of quiet balance between two extremes that nevertheless keep each other perfectly in equilibrium.

It is a digital artwork, with the appearance of thickly applied layers of paint forming glossy, undulating edges where the colours meet, almost like layers in a piece of polished rock.

In a living room or bedroom, this piece brings precisely that gentle tranquillity that a space sometimes needs – a reminder of the rhythm of waves rolling in and out calmly. It also fits effortlessly into an office or hallway for those who appreciate clear, serene compositions.
