About ‘Roof boat’ by Ronald (Ronnie) de Klein

The above picture was taken at New Amsterdam during sunset near the confluence of the Suriname and Commewijne Rivers .
Top left is the fishing village of Braamspunt and the Atlantic Ocean.
Braamspunt is a sand tongue on the coast of Suriname and
is known as a laying beach for the various sea turtles that come to lay their eggs there.
This is a popular attraction for outdoor and domestic tourists .
It has also now been designated a special management area because apart from the sea turtles, several bird species are also found there.
The trip to it, which takes about 15 minutes from Leonsberg, is made in a typical Surinamese rooftop boat as shown in the picture and the trip has a nice surprise on the way, dolphins accompanying the boat and performing all kinds of antics.
These boats maintain the ferry connection between the city (Paramaribo) and the Commewijne district and are hired as charters for special occasions like this.
And since the sea turtle trips always start in the early forenoon, a free sunset is almost always included in the trip.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
