In 2017, I had the privilege of taking a trip to New Zealand for several weeks. I drove around the south island by car and the west coast was one of my favorite areas of the island though. It is green and actually you can always see the sea. There is little traffic, which gives you the feeling of having this beautiful place all to yourself. So this painting was created in response to a photo I took during a break on one of those car trips. As the title suggests, there is another painting. Namely part 1 of 2. Again an abstract painting and painted in the same style and with the same colors. Of course the paintings look beautiful on their own, but for those looking for a diptych, these fit perfectly with and next to each other.
The colors give the painting a sunny look. Truly an eye-catcher you can dream away for a while. For anyone who has been there themselves, or still has the trip on their bucket list.
I made the painting with watercolors. Real handiwork! The original paintings are 30x40 cm, but the nice thing about a print is that you can choose any size and material you want.
The painting has been photographed in such a way that the structure of the watercolor paper is still clearly visible. This has the advantage that it looks even more like a real painting, even though it is a print.
Curious about what else I have painted? In my shop I have many different kinds of abstract artworks, among other things. From colorful landscapes to cheerful bubbles. They can be found in the "abstract" folder.
I used the following colors: green, yellow, orange, gray, blue and brown.
