That day, I saw water in every form. Water in the river, drops in the rain, even finer drops in the mist around the several waterfalls I encountered along the way and, of course, in the form of ice, at the huge glacier that looked out over me high in the mountains.
This photo sums it all up. It is a blueprint of everything New Zealand is. Rugged, adventurous, wonderfully beautiful.
