This Mediterranean photo was taken in early March in the sunny south of Spain. Oranges need a very long ripening period. Early-ripening varieties appear on the market from September and the latter from around March. The fruit of all varieties can be "stored" on the tree for several months without any loss of quality. These oranges are ready to be picked.
The spring sun shining on the orange fruit and leaves gives a beautiful effect.
I love the colours that come out extra through the dark background. A nice 'work for on the wall' in the kitchen or an ice cream parlour.
