Retro Colours with Monstera Leaf – Botanical Wall Art in Salie Green and Beige

by Hilde Remerie – Digital Art, Bauhaus & Photography

‘Retro Colours with Monstera Leaf’ is a contemporary botanical artwork with a distinct retro feel. At its centre is a large, stylised Monstera leaf in a soft sage green. The leaf’s characteristic holes and incisions are faithfully reproduced, yet the bold black outlines lend them a playful, graphic quality.

The background consists of warm, natural colour blocks in cream, sandy beige and ochre-like orange. The broad, painterly brushstrokes give the image a slightly nonchalant feel, as if it were a modern botanical poster from the 1960s or 1970s. It is precisely the combination of the soft green with the warm orange, beige and cream that creates an atmospheric retro colour palette.

This Monstera wall art is a lovely choice for lovers of botanical art, retro interiors and colourful modern wall art. The recognisable leaf brings a natural atmosphere into the home, whilst the graphic design ensures the piece does not become a traditional botanical illustration.

The artwork fits well within a retro, mid-century modern, vintage, eclectic or modern interior. The colour palette also comes into its own in a botanical interior featuring natural materials such as wood, rattan, linen and ceramics. The warm tones make the piece suitable for the living room, bedroom, hall, study or office.

‘Retro Colours with Monstera Leaf’ combines nature, colour and graphic simplicity in a single atmospheric piece of art. A distinctive choice for anyone looking for a green botanical statement piece with a warm, vintage feel.
