About ‘Regte Heide nature reserve’ by Jeroen van Eijndhoven

RIEL - The Regte Heide is a Brabants Landschap nature reserve. On its edge are six burial mounds, five close together the sixth a bit further away. They are at the spot where it is easiest to cross the stream. Now there is a bridge there, but that was different 4,000 years ago. It was a ford and when you crossed it, the burial mounds were the first thing you saw. A signal to travellers that the locals' ancestors were watching over them.

The number of burial mounds left to us is only a pittance of the original number. The 'five mound' on the Regte heath, was first excavated in 1935, with a scientific purpose. After extracting and studying the valuable contents, the mounds were restored to their 'original' state. This was followed by several more restorations in which the wreaths of poles that must have stood around the burial mounds were put back in place. The discolouration in the soil shows that they originally stood there.

Furthermore, this area is a lovely place to walk and enjoy the birds, the Riels Laag and the silence.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
