This image shows a part of a rusty steel cable that is attached to the water. The lower part of the steel cable reflects in the water, giving you an angle of 90 degrees. In the water, the blue sky is also reflected with clouds. Due to the movement of the water, the blue sky has merged with the white of the cloud. Behind the steel cable there is a steel pipe at the top right, the bottom of which disappears into the water. The reflection of this pipe also creates a 90-degree angle and runs from the top right to the bottom left. It's the interplay of lines that matters. The sharpness is on the front wire rope and the rear pipe is out of focus. The sculpture was made in the Landshaftspark in Duisburg, Germany. I went in search of details, lines, composition and colour combination in this enormous blast furnace complex.
If you have a modern interior at home or in the office, this statue might be a nice asset.
